Vicegerency

Vicegerency, or “Wilayah,” is an intricate and fundamental concept within Shia Islam, embodying a theological and spiritual construct that underscores the relationship between the divine, the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), and the Imams. Central to Shia belief is the assertion that leadership and guidance are not merely administrative roles but divinely ordained positions laden with profound spiritual significance. At its core, vicegerency signifies the delegated authority from God to His chosen representatives on Earth.
