The Methodology of Al Salat Istijariyya
The prayer itself is characterized by its simplicity yet profound spiritual depth. Performing Al Salat Istijariyya typically involves the following steps:
- Preparation: Before beginning, one should engage in ablution (wudu) to purify themselves physically and spiritually.
- Intention (Niyyah): The believer should silently make the intention in their heart to offer the prayer for seeking assistance.
- Two Units of Prayer: The prayer consists of two rak’ahs (units). During the recitation in these units, specific supplications and verses from the Quran are encouraged, particularly Ayat Al-Kursi.
- Supplication: Post-prayer, the supplicator should raise their hands and fervently call upon Allah, articulating their needs and desires, and seeking clarity over their situation.
- Reflection: Following this, it is pivotal to remain attentive to any signs or feelings that may arise, which can be construed as God’s response.
