Eight well-known Zahids

Allama Majlisi, a towering figure in Shia scholarship, authored numerous works and took significant strides in the theological and philosophical realms. His magnum opus, “Bihar al-Anwar,” serves as a comprehensive encyclopedia of hadith and Islamic doctrine. A celebrated Zahi, Allama Majlisi emphasized the importance of inner spirituality, cautioning against the perils of materialism. 6. Sheikh Tusi (d. 1067 CE)

Known as the ‘Shaykh al-Ta’ifah’ or the Master of the Community, Sheikh Tusi is another notable ascetic within the Shia tradition. His works, including “Al-Nihayah” and “Al-Tamheed,” remain integral to Shia jurisprudence.
