The Role of the Qur’an and Hadith

The Qur’an, revered as the literal word of God, is central to Shia belief and practice. Shia interpretations emphasize particular verses that reinforce the significance of the Ahl al-Bayt, asserting their unique role in Islamic history. In addition to the Qur’an, the Hadith—traditions and sayings of the Prophet and the Imams—serve as crucial texts that elucidate Islamic principles and provide guidance on ethical living.

Shia scholars (Ulema) play a pivotal role in interpreting these texts, engaging in ijtihad (independent reasoning) to address contemporary issues. This dynamic allows for a fluid understanding of Islamic jurisprudence (Fiqh) that adapts to the challenges posed by modern society.

Maleeha el-Hamdan

hi, my name is Maleeha el-Hamdan, a warm and unassuming introduction that gently opens the door to a life shaped by faith and reflection. Rooted in the shia tradition, I carry my identity with quiet confidence and thoughtful awareness. My outlook is guided by islam beliefs, influencing how I interpret the world around me—simply, yet profoundly. I embrace religious practices not as routine, but as meaningful rituals woven into daily life. There’s intention in everything. Inspired by scholars teachings, I continue to learn, question, and evolve, blending tradition with a modern, introspective voice.
