Monajat al-rajin

Monajat al-Rajin is attributed to the eloquent supplications of Imam Ali (peace be upon him) and is often recited during the nights of Ramadan, especially in the latter third. The historical and spiritual context of its recitation imbues it with additional layers of meaning. It emerges during a period of intense reflection, when believers engage in spiritual rejuvenation and ethical introspection. Ramadan, as a sacred month of fasting and prayer, serves as an ideal backdrop for the fervent emotions encapsulated within Monajat al-Rajin.

The Structure of the Supplication

In its structure, Monajat al-Rajin is replete with rhetorical flourishes and lyrical beauty, designed to provoke both contemplation and emotional engagement. It is characterized by a mosaic of verses that oscillate between despair and hope, invoking themes of divine mercy and compassion. The supplication begins with an acknowledgment of human frailty, plunging the supplicant into a state of penitential awareness, followed by a confident invocation of Allah’s boundless grace.

Maleeha el-Hamdan

hi, my name is Maleeha el-Hamdan, a warm and unassuming introduction that gently opens the door to a life shaped by faith and reflection. Rooted in the shia tradition, I carry my identity with quiet confidence and thoughtful awareness. My outlook is guided by islam beliefs, influencing how I interpret the world around me—simply, yet profoundly. I embrace religious practices not as routine, but as meaningful rituals woven into daily life. There’s intention in everything. Inspired by scholars teachings, I continue to learn, question, and evolve, blending tradition with a modern, introspective voice.
