Qasd for staying 10 days

By the seventh or eighth day, practitioners may find themselves at a crossroads of reflection—revisiting the intentions set at the journey’s commencement. This moment is critical for reassessment and renewal of commitment. Contemplating one’s experiences, challenges, and insights thus far helps to solidify personal transformation and to deepen engagement with the principles of Shia Islam. It is a moment to recalibrate and set new intentions for the future, reinforcing the lifelong pursuit of self-improvement.

As we approach the culmination of this sacred journey, the final days often center around gratitude and the affirmation of faith. Engaging in extended prayers, culminating in the Night of Qadr (the Night of Decree), can serve as a profound climax to the practice. During this period, supplications become fervent, and the connection to one’s faith and belief is palpably intensified. The prayers of these concluding days are expressed with humility, recognizing the omnipotence of the Divine and seeking mercy and guidance.

After ten enriching days, participants emerge transformed, often feeling rejuvenated, enlightened, and more attuned to their spirituality. The discipline of Qasd encapsulates both the effort and grace experienced through sincere worship. The rewards of such intensive engagement can manifest as tranquility, heightened consciousness of one’s actions, and a strengthened commitment to the values espoused by the Ahlulbayt.
