Uquq al Walidayn

Disobedience to parents can manifest in various forms. The spectrum ranges from verbal disrespect and refusal to comply with reasonable requests, to neglect and emotional estrangement. Each of these manifestations not only contravenes Islamic teachings but can also result in significant psychological ramifications for both parties. The Hadith literature highlights that the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) frequently admonished his followers about the gravity of parental disobedience, indicating that such actions could severely impede one’s spiritual progress.
